Beautiful Solid Oak Old Charm Dresser in overall great condition. Painted in Farrow and Ball Estate Eggshell in Shade School House White then waxed. Solid Oak Top has been sanded back to it's natural oak grain and dark waxed.

Welcome to my listing for this Stunning Old Charm Linenfold & Tudor Rose Dresser. Unlike flat pack, this is a wonderful solid piece of furniture made in solid oak wood from the furniture manufacturers of Wood Bros, producers of Old Charm furniture, very renowned and respected for their high craftsmanship. With it's beautiful ornate'Linenfold & Tudor Rose' carvings to the doors and drawers, plus the smooth solid oak top, it's a stunning and unique piece. I have given this dresser 2 coats of undercoat and primer, then 3 fine coats of Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell in the brand new Shade'School House White', a beautiful soft off white which suits every decor.I sanded back the beautiful solid oak top then buffed using a combination of soft dark waxes, which really highlights all of the natural grain and adds some depth of colour to the wood. This also helps to ensure this is protected and endurable for everyday use and provides the wood with a lovely sheen. This dresser features 2 doors and 2 drawers. The drawers are dovetail jointed, solid and run smoothly.
This has a pie crust top which has 2 shelves, each with plate grooves. The top also features small decorative carvings. There is a further plate groove along the bottom so more opportunity to display your favourites crockery. The internal area provides plenty of storage space with a running shelf to the cupboard area, so plenty of options to hide all of your bits and bobs. This also features it's original decorative cast iron drop handles and butterfly hinges. A very beautiful dresser which will be a fantastic addition to any home and certainly provides a wow factor as this is so pretty. After painting, I thoroughly waxed all over with clear wax to help protect the paint from further wear and tear. Separates easily into 2 sections. I have been refurbishing furniture for some time now, and I always endeavor to make sure all my items are of the highest standard as is possible with preloved items. If they're not, I will fix, sand, nail and mend until they are suitable for purpose. I spend a lot of time preparing, so that the finished article is as perfect as can be.
I always remove all fittings (handles, hinges etc), whenever possible, and mask areas for a clean finish. If I cannot repair, I will always describe any obvious flaws with as much accuracy as I can. Of course, there may well be a few tiny drips and brushmarks as I do paint every item by hand, no spray paints are used here! I try to use the original fixings, but if this is not possible, I will source good quality replacements.
I love vintage furniture, and try to keep all of the old charm and originality of each piece whilst making sure it is brought up to date to fit with all types of homes, whether it is a small country house, traditional, large farmhouse, quaint french shabby or a modern semi : The light neutral shades bring new life to old furniture, and will brighten up any corner of your home. As we all know, preloved items are not always perfect though, and any dings and dents add to the charm, and some are even intentional for the'shabby chic' look.
I like to use Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell as I find it gives a very smooth and professional finish, and of course it has a wonderful range of subtle colours to choose from, but have recently moved onto the acclaimed Annie Sloan also, to give my items a varied feel and to appeal to everyone's taste, I love them both! We are a husband and wife team, and like to deliver personally instead of using a courier service, as this way, we ensure that your furniture will arrive with you in perfect condition, and you, as the customer, need not worry.
